2022.01.24 17:26 stressmaster69 how much do two Bs affect my admission chances (competitively)?
I'm looking at the Ivies/T20. One B (an 89) is from freshman year while I'm guessing that I'll be ending up with a B in APUSH this (junior) year. Bs meaning overall year Bs - marking period/semester wise, I've received quite a few, but I assume only the overall average really counts.

2022.01.24 17:26 Ayavea Car seat for long babies to stay rear-facing long enough?
I was wondering if anyone has a good car seat recommendation for a long baby? Our baby is 6 months old and he's 74 cm tall (more than 29"). Our current maxi cosi pebble pro i-size is until 74 cm. Baby's feet are pushing HARD against the back of the backseat, it does NOT look comfortable.
I think the recommendation is for children to ride rear-facing until 2 years old? So we need a car seat that will fit him rear-facing at a taller height he might reach by 2 yo without having his feet stuck against the backseat. At the same time, he can't sit yet, because he's only 6 mo, so the car seat has to be able to recline well!!

2022.01.24 17:26 beansontoast68 Everything i enjoy gets taken away from me
I've had no hobbies, nothing, for over a year. Been completely burnt out, depressed, everything's sucked. Found out I'm likely autistic and this makes sense in terms of special interests- when I'm not struggling ive had some very intense long term interests. Whilst depressed and having stopped enjoying everything I was without a deep interest which only made me feel worse.
Recently, I found a new obsession. My brothers agreed to let me have their xbox, since they both don't use it anymore and have plenty of other devices. I on the other hand have never had anything of the sort. So I was very happy and purchased a childhood game. Very quickly I became obsessed. It brings me so much happiness and gets me through tough days because I know I can use this game to keep my moods in check and keep me as a functioning human being. Everything started looking up..
And then my brothers decided they don't want to give up the xbox. After about a year of no xbox, seeing me enjoy it so intensely seems to have triggered something in their brains and now they want in. They moved the xbox from where it was to a different part of the house where it's uncomfortable and I dont like it and it doesn't fit my routine. They constantly play it and have no consideration for me so I never get a chance.
It makes me so upset. I was finally getting my life back together, building a routine again, experiencing genuine intense happiness and just feeling complete with a special interest again and now it feels like it's been completely ripped from me because I have jealous brothers

2022.01.24 17:26 fortis_adipo Has Anyone tried NMDA?
Science.bio offers NMDA: https://science.bio/product/nmda-powde
There are some concerns about excitotoxicity: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29260492/
But conversely, NMDA exposure has been shown to reduce glutamate toxicity: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1355259/

2022.01.24 17:26 Zombitch1923 Is this normal?
I got a new tattoo a few days ago and they put some sort of Saniderm on it. I’ve never used Saniderm or anything like it before so I’m new to it. I removed it after about 3 days. I got about 4 tattoos on my arm (starting a sleeve) and one of them looks wet and sorta… gummy. Like when you mess up nail polish and try to paint over it or when you put too much paint in a spot when painting and it dries slower.

2022.01.24 17:26 CuddlyE Why couldn't I use Simple Beam on Koga's Greninja?
My strategy for dealing with the heavy dmg output of Koga's Life Orb Greninja, was to switch in my Audino, that should easily be able to tank 2 hits safely from it, simple beam it, so it's double effected by stat debuffs. Then I was gonna switch into my Thievul and Parting Shot it, for a -2 to each stat instead of just a -1. I knew in my plan there was a chance this wouldn't work, and the Greninja would just switch out on getting debuffed, like the AI often does. What I did *not* expect. Was that when I used 'Simple Beam' I would be simply met with the message 'The move failed'... And no other explanation... Is it banned for trainer battles or something? I didn't see any mention of it.

2022.01.24 17:26 Doople_Dude Was there ever a permanent incense you could purchase in the shop?
I remember a few years ago I really wanted to play Pokémon Go, but I only had an iPod touch so I wouldn’t be able to leave my house because iPods do not have cellular data. I remember my brother telling me he bought a permanent incense or something so more Pokémon will spawn around our house. I believe he did this because I notice that a significant amount of Pokémon spawn around my house. However, I cant confirm wether he did this or not, or even if there was a permanent incense you could buy in the shop once. I also do not know if he put this “incense” on a pokestop, there are a few poke stops that are right by my house, but he might have been able to put this “incense” anywhere on the map. For context this was probably around 2016-2017. Does anyone know anything about this?

2022.01.24 17:26 bamitsbethany Anyone previously gotten pregnant & given birth after abdominal wall reconstruction surgery??
Just found out yesterday that I am pregnant with my 3rd child (after trying for a year with two consecutive losses). My first two pregnancies were pretty smooth sailing. Gave birth naturally to my first child in 2015 at 39w exactly, no issues PP. Gave birth to my son in 2017 at 37w4d naturally, super easy recovery. A year and a half after giving birth to my second child, after being misdiagnosed for 6 months, my DRs discovered a Desmoid Tumor on my abdominal wall. A Desmoid Tumor is a rare soft tissue sarcoma made of basically scar tissue that never "shut off". The cause was sporadic and postpartum related - they believe that an abdomen wall muscle tore during my second pregnancy and the cells that went to repair the muscle never stopped and I had a rapidly growing tumor. I tried a few low dose chemotherapy pills (there are currently no approved treatment options, trying to stabilize the tumor was the main goal). 6 months after the tumor was discovered, I looked 6 months pregnant. I finally was approved for surgery at The James Cancer Center in Columbus, OH with one of only a handful of Desmoid Tumor specialists in the country. They removed the tumor with negative margins (they have a very high risk of reoccurance after surgery) and it was the size of a FOOTBALL. I had a 6 day hospital stay, couldn't lift anything over 10 lbs for 12 weeks, and I have twice a year CT scans to check for reoccurance. During the surgery, the surgical oncologist and a plastic surgeon worked together to remove the tumor and because the nature of the tumor is "scar tissue like" they had to remove around 75% of my abdominal wall muscles because the tumor basically intertwined its cells into my muscles. They replaced the abdominal wall section missing with Strattice, a biologic absorbable tissue mesh that fully absorbed into my abdominal wall after 12 months. The plastic surgeon pre and post-operation listened fully to my concerns about wanting to have one more pregnancy. He said it was completely doable, but I would need to wait until 2 years post op (currently at 2.5 years post op), be seen by a High Risk OB, and have a local plastic surgeon work with the high risk OB throughout my pregnancy to check more often via ultrasound for hernias, and be well aware that the probability of having another abdominal wall reconstruction post pregnancy is a very likely probability. I have an 8 inch vertical scar on my stomach from my surgery, but have had no signs of tumor reoccurance or hernia in any of CT scans post op so far.
My question - has anyone had a pregnancy and gave birth after a MAJOR hernia repair, or an abdominal wall reconstruction surgery similar to mine???
I probably won't have my first high risk OB appt for another month and a half, but I definitely have so many questions piling up in my head!
If yes, were you able to naturally push with having a lack of abdominal muscles or were you encouraged or made to have a c-section?
Has anyone had a pregnancy with a 6 inch or larger vertical scar on their stomach? Is the stretching of the scar with the pregnancy excruciating? I'm so nervous about this.
